“ Superb for a breakfast place! One of the best I keep coming back when I am in SG. It is inside Fort Canning area. You can have a nice walk in the morning and stop here for a breakfast. Croissant sandwiches are very good, as well as sweets. They have free butter, jams, and water in self-service corner! ”
“ The kouign-amann was freshly baked, buttery, and delightfully sweet. The lemon tart was refreshingly tangy. The iced long black was decent, though not particularly outstanding. The café is located near Fort Canning—perfect for a recharge after a walk. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and there were available tables. ”
“ Had a great experience at Tiong Bahru. The neighborhood is charming with its heritage streets, cozy cafés, and laid-back feel. Such a nice place to enjoy a slow and unhurried morning. ”
“ After a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Fort Canning area, we arrived at our final destination—a charming little bakery that promised a delightful afternoon treat. We indulged in a flaky almond croissant, its golden crust giving way to a rich, nutty filling, perfectly complemented by a robust long black coffee. While the prices were on the higher side compared to other bakeries in Singapore, the cozy ambiance and the quality of the offerings made it a worthwhile splurge for an occasional visit. It was truly an experience to savor, adding a sweet note to our day. ”
“ We got a pain au chocolat, green tea croissant, flourless chocolate cake, and almond croissant (not in photo). Really enjoyed these pastries! The croissants were flaky and the cake somewhat resembled the consistency of a brownie. It’s best to have them warm. We also got an iced hojicha and hot chocolate (not in photo). I liked the hojicha but my mom said the hot chocolate was nothing special. I’d recommend to pair the croissants with coffee and the cake with some warm milk :) The ambiance was nice and chill. The service was good too. Took us a while to find the cafe though since we came from the other end of Fort Canning. ”
“ ???? Tiong Bahru Bakery 70 River Valley Rd, #01-05 Foothills Fort Canning, Singapore 179037 _____________________________________ ???? My husband and I visited this beautiful Tiong Bahru Bakery outlet on 24th August 2025, Sunday evening, and ordered two items: ???? Iced Cafe Latte x 2 (SGD7 per glass) ???? Lemon Tart (SGD8.50) ???? The Lemon Tart is currently my favourite citrus tart. The custard filling is piquant and refreshing, with a well-balanced flavour that is not overly sweet. ???? The Iced Cafe Latte was customised to a single espresso shot for each glass. The coffee was well crafted, smooth, creamy, and flavourful. ______________________________________ ???? Decor & Ambience ************************* ???? This particular Tiong Bahru Bakery at Foothills Fort Canning is truly a beautiful cafe set amidst lush greenery, and is a refreshing escape from the city. ???? The colonial-era building itself is charming, with a clean white façade and large glass windows that lets in plenty of natural light. Surrounded by flowering trees and landscaped concrete pathways, the atmosphere feels almost like a hidden garden retreat. ???? Inside, the cafe is warm and welcoming, with stylish lighting and wooden furnishings. A retail corner with merchandise items sits near the entrance doors. ???? The selection of pastries and coffee is consistent with other Tiong Bahru Bakery outlets ---flaky croissants, fresh bakes, and well-brewed coffee. ????Service **************** The Malay lady cashier at the front counter stood out for her friendliness, pleasant attitude, and cheerful service. ???? I truly appreciated her warm demeanour. I only wish the rest of the team could be equally as friendly and welcoming. ”
“ Delicious food in a lovely setting! We ordered four pastries and two coffees, which came to around $50 AUD (or SGD $42) - quite standard for westernised cafes in Singapore. Everything was fresh, and the coffees were strong. The peaceful park setting made the experience even more enjoyable - a perfect spot to relax and unwind. ”
“ Recommended place to have breakfast or lunch. The location quite near from the famous Fort Canning Tunnel, even though you have to walk, the atmosphere is nice because the scenery is mostly green, the area is suitable for jogging, near to a playground (if you bring kids), and also near to a bus stop. The price was reasonably worth it. We ordered something mushroom (my fav), kouign amann, almond croissant, everything tastes just right, not too sweet or too salty, just in the right proportion. Its not too spacious, they have outdoor and indoor. ”
“ A fresh croissant in the park? Yes please! They had a great selection to choose from, but I was in the middle of a run & couldn't gorge myself, so I opted for the most bang for your buck in the almond chocolate croissant. It was warm and reasonably flaky, and full of almond-y chocolate-y goodness. It hit the spot, and it's incredible that it's in the middle of the park with city skyline in sight! ”
“ This bakery is indeed in a PRIME, HISTORIC location. Been here numerous times since I like this bakery due to the ambience is so relaxed, to dine away, with friends. Yes, all the pastries and baked goods are house made. Pricing does NOT come cheap though. The staffs are very welcoming a rare sight in Singapore soil. Had the Brie Mushroom Croissants, Chocolate Brioche, a couple of Mocha, their In House Freshly made Juice and some other sandwiches that I cannot recall the exact names. At 1 corner of this Bakery, you are welcome to purchase some Merchandize that reflects the History of this Bakery such as Magnets, Souvenirs, Trinkets and even Apparel. All in all, I do NOT mind returning when needed.. Latest recent visit was on Wednesday January 4th 2023. ”
